Subart in Croatia, Summer 2004
11 artists collaborated on a 7 minute underwater video while working in Croatia at a residency organized by Ivo and Maja Dekovic. Artists included myself (Kim Collmer), Miles Chalcraft & Anette Schäfer, Jeff McGrory, Elyce Semenec, Thi Lai Le , Christian Jung, Eike Mählmann , Sonia Garcia Moreno, Simon Koch, Jan Lindenberg.

The result of our collaboration was the video Split. For this video we created our version of the Tempest. Choreographed underwater dance and video of water nymphs and a group of drowning travelers result in a surreal piece of storytelling which explores the tension between life and death in relation to both the beauty and danger of water.
