Lines defined and erased, 2014
This body of work are based on US military life in Germany in the 80's. These spaces no longer occupied, the images reflecting upon the transitory existence of cultural shifts and occupying forces. The exterior environments appear as if mirages, overexposed and loosely gracing the surface of the paper upon which they float. The largley interior spaces are fragmented, the inhabitants like ghosts celebrating a long forgotten party. The two extremes- the orderly and fading exterior architecture and the milky silhouettes show two contrasting elements- the structural, institutional side of occupation in contrast to the personal realities of the occupants. This is a selection of a larger body of work.
