The Fold was filmed during an artist residency at Subart in Croatia in July 2004. Shot underwater in the Adriatic and a giant wooden water bucket, the Fold explores water as a reflective surface, creating mirrored images and abstract cellular animations. Reminiscent of the early days of nature films, the Fold let's us float within an artificial underwater realm of cellular doubling and aquatic life generation. The title, the Fold, comes from someone or something folding in upon itself infinitely.
